Champion Josh does the double in style
1:03am Wednesday 10th March 2010

Josh White reached the Open Singles final by way of Brian Cook and then Steve Harris in the semis, while Lionel Coles saw off Trevor Whitelock and Dan Geary.
Coles began with an onslaught of forehand winners, taking the first set 11-8, but White composed himself and won crucial points when it mattered. After taking the second set 11-7, he never looked in any real trouble, winning the championship by three sets to one.
Peter Henderson and Geary faced Harris and Whitelock in the final of the Open Doubles and were made to struggle in the first set, before taking it 15-13. Once that one was in the bag, Henderson and Geary played as only they can giving their opponents very few chances.
