Proud young Blacks take Plate
1:20am Wednesday 10th March 2010

Andover U17 20 Portsmouth U17 17.
Newcotech sponsored Andover U17s welcomed Portsmouth to a sun blessed Hants County Plate final at the Goodship Ground.
They elected to play against the slope and blustery wind in the first half and a strong Portsmouth side soon put them under pressure and were stopped short of their try line several times.
Through their strong defence Andover’s confidence started to build before a blood injury to scrum-half Thomas Redshaw forced a change. Quick ball saw Callum Staff jink through to dive over for five well earned points.
